According to Tricia Bannister, Executive Director of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, seeing new faces at the show is part of its new variety. “We have some new vendors here, so we have more than just pontoon boats; we have fishing boats, we have cruisers,” said Bannister. “Seeing new faces like the Tigers is part of the new variety at this year’s show.”
Tricia Bannister hopes that the diversity of boats and the presence of new vendors will bring new faces to the show, while also giving frequent visitors a chance to try something new. She believes that the town’s proximity to the St. Lawrence River makes it an ideal location for boating and water activities. “I think it is just people coming up to the area, and the river, we are so blessed with having the St. Lawrence River in our backyard. We are very blessed with that,” said Bannister.
Other visitors to the show were also enthusiastic about the event. Tom Hudon, a local resident, was looking for a new fishing boat and was impressed by the variety of options on display. “I am very pleased that I am seeing a lot of fishing boats because that is kind of what I am looking to potentially get in the near future,” said Hudon.
